our second compilation will be released on monday 7 april 2008 on CD/DL, featuring unreleased and hot tracks from wintermute, grammatics, this et al, mucky sailor, that fucking tank, fran rodgers, napoleon iiird, i concur, these monsters, paul marshall, the twilight sad and many more
this compilation is our most diverse and solid yet, with some of the most popular local and well-established artists from around west yorkshire and more. from benjamin wetherill’s percussive nu-folk ditty to the rough and ready 9mins of riffing from the new that fucking tank track and from napoleon iiird’s prince like pop song mayhem to the stellar rock sounds of this et al’s new awesome track ‘special bear’. we even have a track from the incredible histrionic rock act from glasgow ‘the twilight sad’.
there is a little something for absolutely anyone here we can guarantee that (if we sent out guarantees).

2008 bones
as we draw closer to the end of the year 2007 we would like to say thank you to everyone who came to our gigs, supported us, bought our records, downloaded mp3's and all our artists and especially nath and vicky for running two wonderful venues.
2008............
February. next year we have all kinds of new stuff in store. benjamin wetherill will be releasing a brand new single called 'the derby ram - OTB007' which is a traditional folk ditty that sees heavy use of wind instruments and the pitter patter of lightly drummed percussion.
march will see our fantastic new release 'on the bone - compilation number two - OTB008' which features a collection of purely unreleased tracks from the likes of this et al, that f*cking tank, the twilight sad, grammatics, napoleon IIIrd and many more. a few launch gigs will also take place up north and down south to coincide with the release.
april will see the joining of forces of the amazing this et al and the bone for an all new release which will be an EP on 10" vinyl and CD. we are over the moon to be working with et al and hope to be releasing a few records by them in 2008. work is in progress now with non other than the super swish james kenosha. expect nothing but sheer quality from one of the finest acts around.

the standard for sonic guitar casioisms. the outstanding 12 track album will be released via three labels on three formats, vinyl, download & cd.

the ballad of leeds town hall
in 1890, a fire in the municipal buildings which now hold the central library, destroyed all court records from leeds town hall for the years 1863 to 1869.
during the reconstruction & restoration of the tiled hall in the library, a document was discovered which casts new light on a terrible episode in the history of leeds, previously lost to the flames.
the booklet, written & self-published by a miss olive o'grady-burt in 1934, gives details of a song, the ballad of leeds town hall, which was popular in the days of miss olive o'grady-burt's youth, & which she remembers her mother singing to her as she sat on her knee.
this song of love & longing, murder & suicide, tells the tale of the tragic end which came to three young leeds people in & around the town hall.
for light night 2007, the folk theatre partisans (featuring our very own fran rodgers) have been comissioned to reconstruct & re-enact this dreadful story. hear the song sung again for the first time in decades, at the site where the events happened. see the hidden side of the town hall, the old courtroom, the dank prison cells, and the view from the clocktower. see also the hidden story of one of the darkest episodes in the history of leeds. and find out, once and for all, the real reason why the town hall clock never strikes midnight...

hope you have enjoyed the summer so far (actually, what summer?). sadly we have some pretty bad news for you. we'll be pulling out of all future gigs and will be taking a big break. serious personal problems have arisen in camp vulpine and they need to be resolved before things take a plunge into the bottom of a lake. it's a decision non of us are taking lightly as we all feel very strongly about our music, career, fans, gigs, etc, but we really do need a well deserved kip for now.
we just want to thank all the people who came to our gigs , bought our debut record from the amazing 'on the bone Records' folk, everyone who supported us from the beginning and everyone who helped us in anyway possible.

the astounding behemoth 2-piece rock riff outfit that f*cking tank have finished recording sessions for their new release featuring new full time vocalist giles. tank's new release will be their first a-side/b-side single on 7" picture disc vinyl and is titled 'the awesome magnet'
the release will also come packaged with a free dvd of their recent european tour and will feature the music video for the a-side. it will be backed with a tour of the uk in october.
it's set for release in november and will be available from all major download sites and good indie record stores

we're very warm and happy to announce that two of our artists mother vulpine & fran rodgers will be appearing on the next dance to the radio compilation called "Out Of The Woods and Trees" which will be released on october 1st.
fran's moving and haunting 3-track debut-single 'I fell to you under winter sun' will be released across the UK on 7" vinyl and for digital download from July 16th.
