That Fucking Tank at last release a record with some vocals on. The guest on “The Awesome Magnet” is Danananaykroyd’s Giles Bailey who doesn’t so much sing but slams on a kind of restrained shouting. It works though, adding a punkish narrative yell to the bands spliced, bulging guitar and the brilliant cornerstone that is James Islip’s drumming. As a single, both tracks weigh in at nearly 6 minutes as they navigate various break downs and clattering instrumental peaks. It’s business as usual on “Facist Because Beautiful” with the band’s traditional blood-vessel-bursting take on both post rock and jazz.
