Aggressive and a bit frightening from the offset, 'Keep Your Wits Sharp (Her Words Are Quick)' soon shakes its Fall Out Boy-esque title.

The main focus here is on a pulsating, rampaging, violent guitar that storms on throughout. The vocals are a bit sharp, slightly dissonant and alarmingly strident, echoing that good old angry vibe but never really stealing the limelight. Intense back beats from the drummer build the suspense upwards until the track stops. A dead stop. Just like that.

It's crashing and a bit abrasive but it doesn't make your ears bleed, which is always a plus. There are hints of that Northern accent that we love so much, and whilst it isn't the most original sound we've ever heard, it's a mixture of a few of our favourite bands. We can't find anything to complain about here.
