This Leeds quartet are essentially Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA) with a punk-funk fixation. If that statement sounds like lazy journalism it doesn’t stop it being accurate. It’s perhaps not surprising that Mother Vulpine have supported The Eagles of Death Metal – the side project of QOTSA frontman Josh Homme.

All in all both these tongue twistingly titled tunes are delivered with suitable verve and abandon. I suspect the disco-metal novelty may wear off, but in the meantime they’re definitely worth a squirt.
